WFC CSKA beat WFC Spartak in the first derby in the history of women's football

The seventh round match of the Superleague took place at the VEB Arena in Moscow.
Before the start of the match, an action dedicated to combating bullying in women's football was held. The players of the army team took to the field wearing t-shirts with quotes from people who are skeptical about their line of work.

There was also an award ceremony for the symbolic Superleague team of the 2023 season. The Chairwoman of the Women's Football Committee of the Russian Football Union, Polina Yumasheva, and the head coach of the women's national football team, Yuri Krasnozhan, presented awards to Nevena Damjanovic (best central defender), Yulia Myasnikova (best left defender), Yulia Pleshkova (best right defender), Nadezhda Smirnova (best central midfielder), and Gabriel Abudi Onghene (best forward).

The symbolic kick before the starting whistle was made by Russian fencer, Honored Master of Sports of Russia, two-time world champion, and two-time Olympic champion Yana Egorian.

On the 43rd minute, the only goal of the match was scored by Spartak's forward Gabriel Abudi Onghene.

At halftime, the general director of WFC CSKA, Tatyana Mikhaylovna Chernaya, awarded players from the WFC CSKA U-11 team, who became bronze medalists at the Winter Moscow Football Championship.

The game was Julia Myasnikova's 100th appearance for WFC CSKA, and in recognition, the defender, along with Tatiana Smirnova, received a commemorative shirt. Nadezhda Smirnova also received an award for playing 150 matches.

WFC CSKA has won six out of six starting matches this season and leads the Superleague standings with 18 points.
