Sergey Lavrentyev, WFC CSKA new head coach

WFC CSKA is glad to announce the new head coach of our team.
“Sergey Lavrentyev is an experienced coach, a specialist who knows how to achieve goals. He has proven himself well in previous teams, he also headed the Russian national team for a long time, which he led to the 2013 European Championship. We hope that Lavrentyev will show himself vividly in the WFC CSKA and help us reach new heights”.
Sergey Lavrentyev was born on April 9, 1972. As a player, he made his debut in the Soviet Second League in 1989 for FC Dynamo-2 Moscow. He played in the football leagues of Russia, as well as in Germany as a forward. In 2011, he headed the Izmailovo women's football club, which played in the top division of the Russian championship. From 2012 to 2015, he was the head coach of the Russian women's national football team, that played at the 2013 European Championship. From 2016 to 2021, he was the head coach of WFC Chertanovo (Moscow).
